AIMA MAT IBT 2020
For the first time, All India Management Association (AIMA) introduces the "Remotely Proctored Internet-Based Test" (IBT mode). AIMA released the schedule of MAT IBT mode 2020 on its official website. Remote proctored IBT is a secure online examination that can be taken by registered candidates from their residence. This means candidates do not need to travel to a specific test centre to take MAT entrance test.
MAT Exam Pattern 2020 - Duration of the test
According to the exam pattern of MAT 2020, the test was of 150 minutes or two hours and 30 minutes. Candidates had the option to switch between the sections as there is no time limit for a particular section. According to the experts, in order to perform well in the entrance exam, candidates should not spend more than half an hour for each section. As per the important dates of MAT 2020, the IBT mode is being conducted from August 27 to October 3.
MAT 2020 Exam Pattern - Marking Scheme
In the exam pattern of MAT 2020, AIMA has proposed the marking scheme under which candidates will get to know how many marks they will be awarded for a correct answer and how many for incorrect. According to the marking scheme, candidates can get one mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The maximum marks which a candidate who will appear in MAT 2020 can score are 200. To determine their preparation strategy, candidates can take up the mock test of MAT 2020.

There are five sections according to the exam pattern of MAT 2020 from which the questions are asked. These five sections are the English language, Mathematics, intelligence and critical reasoning, data analysis and sufficiency, Indian and global environment.

Exam Pattern of MAT 2020 - Mode of the entrance Test
The Management Entrance Test (MAT) 2020 is conducted four times in a year both in a computer-based mode as well as in pen and paper-based mode. Due to COVID 19 outbreak, this year MAT will be conducted in the Internet-Based Test mode also. For this year, AIMA has discontinued the PBT & CBT mode for May session.
According to MAT exam pattern 2020, if the candidate wanted to appear in the exam in the Internet-based test, then he or she should be comfortable using the mouse and keyboard. Candidates will be given a paper to do their rough work.
MAT Exam Pattern 2020 - Marking Scheme
According to the marking scheme of MAT 2020, candidates will be given one mark for every question answered correctly and they will lose 0.25 marks if they answer the question incorrectly. The total scaled score is 800.
MAT 2020 Exam Pattern - Detailed Description of Each Section
Intelligence and Critical Reasoning - In this section of MAT 2020 candidates are assessed on their critical thinking. Candidates will have to answer questions related to series and sequences and critical reasoning, data arrangement, blood relations, direction sense, input-output analysis, coding and decoding.
Mathematics - Candidates will have to answer questions related to arithmetic, geometry, business mathematics, Hence, candidates must be well versed with basic formulae and other concepts.
Language Comprehension - According to the exam pattern of MAT 2020, in language comprehension section candidates will be assessed on their comprehension and reading skills. Candidates will have to go through the questions based on the passage and answer the questions correctly.
Data Analysis and Sufficiency - Questions in this part will be asked on coding and decoding, direction sense, input/output analysis, blood relations, directions sense.
Indian and Global Environment - As per the exam pattern of MAT candidates will have to answer questions related to national and international current affairs. Questions on general knowledge will also be asked in this section.
MAT Syllabus 2020
Based on past years trends of questions, the syllabus of MAT 2020 includes the topics and sub-topics from which the questions are asked. MAT 2020 IBT mode is being held from August 27 to September 23. how much percentile/composite score approximately is raw score of 54 in MAT exam?
MAT official authority never disclose their marking scheme but as per previous data, if you do overall 54 questions correct out of 160 questions then you will be getting a percentile around 50 with a composite score of 470 approx.
