MAT December 2015 Analysis
The last MAT of the year, MAT December 2015 has been conducted on Sunday, December 6 in paper pencil based mode and Saturday, December 12, 2015 onwards in computer based mode. The overall difficulty level of the exam was easy to moderate. This article brings to you the detailed analysis of MAT December 2015.
Before going for the exam analysis, let us have a look at the overall exam pattern. The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes or 2 hours and 30 minutes. The total number of questions is 200, i.e. 40 each from 5 sections. The sections are Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment. Each question carries 1 mark and for each wrong answer there is negative marking of Â¼ allotted marks.
Now let us check the section wise analysis.
There were 20 questions from Reading Comprehension and 20 from Verbal Ability. There were 5 RC passages with 4 questions each. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. The questions were mainly direct but few questions were a bit tricky. The questions from English Usage were on vocabulary, para formation, sentence correction, sentence arrangement, fill in the blanks and Critical Reasoning. The difficulty level of this section was moderate to tough.
Majority of the questions in this section was from Arithmetic. The difficulty level was easy as the question types were basic. Few questions were on Higher Math as well. This section comprised of Data Interpretation (DI), Data Sufficiency (DS) and Data Comparison. There were 26 questions in DI and 14 questions from DS and Data Comparison. The topics of questions from DI were observation, calculations like comparison of fractions, computing the averages, percentage based calculations etc. The types of charts were related to Line Graphs, Bar Charts, Tables, Pie Charts and Caselet. The overall difficulty level of this section can be considered to be Moderate.
Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
This section was a mix of Analytical Reasoning and Critical Reasoning consisting of 32 and 8 questions respectively. The topics, number of questions and difficulty level of the section are given in the table below.

Indian and Global Environment
The questions in this section were from the topics of business, current affairs, Person and their associated fields, etc. Overall this test area can be classified as Moderate. It is to be noted that this section is not considered for the final consolidated score.

i have attened 101 questions in September MAT 2020 with 70-75% accuracy. What composite score & percentile can i expect?
As cut off varies every year, also it varies from college to college but as you mentioned you have attempted 101 questions with 75% accuracy your Percentile will be between 70-90 which is very good score. You can get admission in good colleges. Although more will be known when results will be out.

According to previous years' data your KEAM score would be 394 and rank would be between 2000-3000. This is just an estimation for accurate data please go through official website.

According to your rank and category , you can try for some iiit's like pune , bhagalpur , una , surat , kalyani etc which have a lower cutoff , otherwise you can try for your home state nit also , as the cutoff is generally lower , same is the case with north eastern nit's , the cutoff is generally lesser . Some good colleges like bit mesra and pec chandigarh also participate in josaa , so you can get a decent branch like production etc , in them .
Do apply for your home state counselling also as you can get some good state government engineering colleges in your state . Hence do apply for the csab round and state government counselling and you might get a good college .
