KMAT 2019 – Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) conducts KMAT as a state-level entrance examination for admission to post graduation in management offered by B-schools of Karnataka. Registration for KMAT 2019 begins in May. KMAT Application may be filled in online mode 2019 along with a payment of Rs.800/-. Candidates having a Bachelors degree with a minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in certain disciplines are eligible to apply for KMAT 2019. The exam will take place in paper-based mode in August. KMAT was first administered in 2003. The state-level test covers 10,000 seats. The 170 MBA colleges across Bangalore and rest of Karnataka will accept KMAT exam score.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

 Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) prescribes the eligibility criteria of KMAT 2019.

  • Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum 50 per cent marks and 45 per cent for SC/ST candidates.

  • Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply for KMAT 2019.


KMAT Application Form 2019

The application process of KMAT 2019 begins in May and will continue till July 2019. Before filling the form, candidates must first check the eligibility criteria of KMAT 2019. The application form could be filled through online mode. Candidates wanting to fill the offline application can download the application form, from the official website and fill it with the correct details. Once the application form of KMAT 2019 had been filled, an application fee of Rs. 800 has to be paid by the candidate online or offline. Upon successful submission of the KMAT 2019 application form, a unique ID was generated and sent on the registered email ID.


KMAT Admit Card 2019

The admit card of KMAT 2019 second phase will be issued a week before the exam, tentatively in first week of August 2019. It will be available in online mode. Candidates can download the same either from the official website or from the link given in this article. KMAT 2019 admit card will be only available for the candidates who register for the entrance exam by filling the application form. Candidates have to carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card in the examination hall. The candidates without the admit card will be prohibited from sitting for the exam. 

 

KMAT 2019 Test Centres

KMAT 2019 exam of second phase will be conducted across Karnataka in the following cities-

Bagalkot, Bangalore, Belgaum, Bellary, Bijapur, Davangere, Gulbarga, Hubli, Mangalore, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur, Udupi. 

Test organizers reserve the right to withdraw any centre or add any new centre. The availability of the test centres can be changed by the conducting body.


KMAT Exam Pattern 2019

The exam pattern of KMAT 2019 comprises multiple choice questions (MCQs) further divided into four sections: Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. The duration of KMAT 2019 is 120 minutes or 2 hours.

KMAT Syllabus 2019

The syllabus of KMAT 2019 includes topics related to basic mathematics, aptitude and language comprehension skills. Students can refer to syllabus prescribed to competitive entrance exam like CATCMAT etc and also check the section-wise topics of KMAT below:

  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension- Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, Comprehension of passages

  • Logical and Abstract Reasoning - Verbal Reasoning, Analogy

  • Quantitative Ability - Numerical calculations, Arithmetic problems (ratio & proportion, percentage, interest, time & speed etc.), Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Quantitative reasoning, Interpretation of tables, Common graphs & charts.


KMAT Result 2019

The result of KMAT 2019 will be announced after the exam has been successfully conducted. It is expected to be declared around the fourth week of August. The KMAT 2019 result is available in the form of a scorecard which can be collected from KMAT office. The result or scorecard includes candidates' name, roll number, sectional and overall score and percentile. Based on the KMAT result 2019, participating institutes will shortlist candidates for the selection procedure, including Group Discussion and Personal Interview.


KMAT Cutoff 2019

The cutoff of KMAT 2019 is the minimum marks a candidate must score in order to obtain admission into the reputed B-schools. Each institute is likely to have its own cutoff for both MBA programme, which a candidate has to meet. Each participating institution will have separate KMAT 2019 cutoff based on which they will shortlist candidates for the final round of KMAT selection procedure after the KMAT 2019 result is declared. 

 

KMAT Selection Procedure 2019

The selection procedure of KMAT 2019 is for those test takers who have scored marks as per the cut off of the KMAT Exam. The selection procedure of KMAT 2019 will be conducted after each of the participating KMAT institutes announce their respective cut-offs and the list of shortlisted candidates. The KMAT 2019 selection procedure will be conducted separately by each institute and would include GD/essay writing/Case Study and Personal Interview rounds. The final merit list will be generated based on the performance in KMAT, and the GD-PI rounds. Some institutes may consider past academic records and work experience as well.
