KMAT 2018

KMATKMAT 2018 – Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a state-level entrance examination for admission to post graduation in management such as MBA offered by B-schools of Karnataka. As per the KMAT 2018 exam schedule, the exam date of KMAT is announced as August 5. The registration of KMAT 2018 commenced on June 7 will continue until July 25. Followed by the online application process, candidates can download the KMAT Admit Card from August 3 onwards. The result of KMAT 2018 will be declared online in the month of August. KMAT is conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA). The 170 MBA colleges across Bangalore and rest of Karnataka with moderate fee structure will accept KMAT 2018 score. KMAT was first administered in 2003. The state-level test covers 10,000 seats. Candidates having a Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognised education body in certain disciplines are eligible to apply for KMAT.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2018


Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) prescribes the eligibility criteria of KMAT 2018.

  • Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum 50 per cent marks and 45 per cent for SC/ST candidates.

  • Applicants who are in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply for KMAT 2018.

KMAT Application Form 2018


The application process of KMAT 2018 commenced on June 7 and will continue till July 25. Before filling the form, candidates must first check the eligibility criteria of KMAT 2018. The application form can be filled through either online or offline mode. Candidates wanting to fill the offline application can download the application form, from the official website and fill it with the correct details. Once the application form of KMAT 2018 has been filled, an application fee of Rs. 800 has to be paid by the candidate online or offline. Upon successful submission of the KMAT 2018 application form, a unique ID will be generated and sent on the registered email ID. 


KMAT Exam Pattern 2018


The exam pattern of KMAT 2018 comprises multiple choice questions (MCQs) further divided into four sections: Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. The duration of KMAT 2018 is 120 minutes or 2 hours.

KMAT Syllabus 2018


The syllabus of KMAT 2018 includes topics related to basic mathematics, aptitude and language comprehension skills. Students can refer to syllabus prescribed to competitive entrance exam like CAT, CMAT etc and also check the section-wise topis of KMAT below:

  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension- Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, Comprehension of passages

  • Logical and Abstract Reasoning - Verbal Reasoning, Analogy

  • Quantitative Ability - Numerical calculations, Arithmetic problems (ratio & proportion, percentage, interest, time & speed etc.), Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Quantitative reasoning, Interpretation of tables, Common graphs & charts

KMAT Admit Card 2018


The admit card of KMAT 2018 will be issued in online mode from August 3 from 12 PM. KMAT 2018 admit card is only available for candidates who registered for the entrance exam by filling the application form. After getting the admit card of KMAT 2018, candidates have to paste the passport size photo on it. Candidates have to carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card in the examination hall.


KMAT 2018 Test Centres


KMAT 2018 will be conducted across Karnataka in various cities like Bagalkot, Bangalore, Belgaum, Bellary, Bijapur, Davangere, Gulbarga, Hubli, Mangalore, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur, Udupi. Test organizers reserve the right to withdraw any centre or add any new centre. The availability of the test centres can be changed by the conducting body.


KMAT Result 2018


The result of KMAT 2018 will be announced August in online mode. The KMAT 2018 result will be available in the form of scorecard on the official website of KMAT and can be downloaded by entering the login credentials like the application number with date of birth.


KMAT Cutoff 2018


The cutoff of KMAT 2018 is the minimum marks a candidate must score in order to obtain admission into the reputed B-schools. Each institute is likely to have its very own cutoff for both MBA programme, which a candidate has to meet.


KMAT Selection Procedure 2018


KMAT Selection Procedure 2018 The selection procedure of KMAT 2018 is for those test takers who have scored marks as per the cut off of the KMAT Exam. The selection procedure of KMAT 2018 will be conducted by KPPGCA tentatively in the month of August after each of the participating KMAT institutes announce their respective cut-offs and the list of shortlisted candidates.
