JBIMS Mumbai Final Placement 2016; 42% of batch opts for BFSI sector
The Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai completed its final placement placement process for the academic session of 2014-16. This year around 50% of the batch received PPO’s in their summer placement. Total 42% of the batch opted for placements in BFSI sectors, making it the most preferred sector.
The highest package offered in the placements was of Rs 26 lpa, with average package being Rs 18.13 lpa. Some of the first time recruiters at the campus were RIL, Mondelez, Shell, Hinduja Group, Amazon, IDFC Bank, HDFC AMC, Kotak Mahindra Bank. International offers were offered by a HongKong based company across domains.

Almost 42% of the batch opted for placement in this sector. Prominent recruiters like Citibank, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential AMC, Yes Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Securities, CRISIL, Indiabulls, Bajaj Finance, Motilal Oswal, SBI Capital, IIFL, RBL Bank and others participated in the process.
FMCGs and Life Sciences
Companies such as HUL, P&G, ITC, Nestle, Mondelez, Mars-Wrigley, L’Oreal and Future Group visited the campus for placements under this section. FMCG companies like HUL, P&G, and Nestle also offered Corporate Finance roles.
Business houses like Aditya Birla Group, Hinduja, Mahindra, RIL, Shell, TATA Group and Welspun offered roles like General Management, Corporate Treasury, Strategy & Corporate Finance and Sales & Marketing.

what is admission criteria for JBIMS Mumbai for 2021?
The applicants with a 3-year graduate degree or any equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for part-time MBA programmes. Those with valid ranks in CAT, MAT (https://www.shiksha.com/mba/mat-exam) , GMAT, XAT, CMAT (https://www.shiksha.com/mba/cmat-exam) and ATMA (https://www.shiksha.com/mba/atma-exam) have an added advantage. PhD aspirants must possess a postgraduate degree with a specialisation in any one area of business and management. Seat allotment is however done based on the eligibility norms and regulations prescribed by Mumbai University.
Those interested in admission at JBIMS must register themselves by filling an application form available on the institute's official website. The candidates who have submitted the application form by the last submission date notified by the institute are considered for the admission. The shortlisted recipients will then be called for a group discussion followed by a personal interview, where the personality, communication, analytical skills and leadership qualities of the recipients are analysed.

JBIMS shortlists candidates based on their profile and CAT / MH-CET scores (GMAT for international candidates). Shortlisted candidates are called for the second round, the in-person assessment (IPA). This round consists of group activity, personal interview and a written ability test

No you cannot get into JBIMS and SIMSREE with the marks scored in MAT exam. You can get into following college:

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS)is one of the oldest and best b-schools in India and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. There are many programs offered by JBIMS. Yes, JBIMS accept ATMA score only if you have given CET exams. The college will accept both ATMA Feb and May scores. The cut off for general category for ATMA is 99.99 percentile.
