The aspirants aiming to pursue Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) should know about the IRMA 2018 exam pattern before appearing for the test. Knowing IRMA exam pattern 2018 will help applicants know more about the question paper pattern, marking scheme, duration, total number of questions, etc. The IRMA entrance exam is expected to be held in the second week of February, 2018. It is a computer based test of 80 minutes duration carrying 40 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) on Issues of Social Concern section. The candidates can get the complete details about the exam pattern of IRMA 2018 in this article.


IRMA 2018 exam will be based on General Awareness and topics covered under Issues of Social Concern. As per the last year’s pattern, IRMA is a computer based multiple choice exam. Candidates will have to answer 40 questions in 80 minutes.

Duration:The total duration of IRMA exam is 80 minutes.


Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark. There is a negative marking for each wrong answer, which will result in a deduction of one-fourth of the allotted marks.


Number of questions: The total number of questions in IRMA 2018 is expected to be 40. There will be 28 paragraph based questions, three paragraph based fill in the blanks and nine questions will be based on GK and Current Affairs.


IRMA Syllabus 2018

The IRMA 2018 syllabus includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs and topics covered under Issues of Social Concern, which are mentioned below:

  • IRDP Schemes

  • Women-Oriented Schemes

  • Educational Initiatives of the Government.

  • Short-Term Migration

  • Death due to Cold

The notification will be released by IRMA in the second week of September along with the important dates of IRMA 2018. The application form of IRMA 2018 will be available from the first week of October. The application fee is Rs.1200 for online applicants and Rs.1275 for offline applicants.


It is expected that candidates will be able to download the IRMA 2018 admit card from the first week of February, 2018. Candidates need to carry their admit card at the exam centre to appear for IRMA 2018 exam.


It is expected that Institute of Rural Management Anand will declare the result of IRMA 2018 in the last week of February, 2018. Test takers will have to log in with their IRMA Form number or Roll number to check the scorecard. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the IRMA selection procedure comprising Group Activities and Personal Interview rounds. The total number of seats for Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) programme is 180.
