IIM Admission 2022-24: Waitlist Movement
IIM admission waitlist refers to the number of seats that move up from the waitlist for candidates for admission offer. While shortlisting the candidates or releasing the final admission list, IIMs also reserve one batch or slot of students on the waiting list.
If any candidate lets go of his or her seat then the student from the waiting listing can get admission.
Over the past years, students wait a long time for the waitlist of IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta to move to get close to the admission chances.
There remains a high waitlist movement in IIM Calcutta and IIM Lucknow because selected candidates prefer IIMA or IIMB over these two.
