Based on the cutoffs mentioned in the above table, IIM Shillong will obtain the number of candidates who would be considered for shortlisting.

The shortlisted candidates will be further segregated into 7 Academic Categories (AC) as per their graduation academic disciplines. From each Academic Category a certain percentage of candidates would be shortlisted for WSAT and PI.

The final shortlist would be based on the candidates’ academic background on Bachelor’s Degree and category. The candidates would then be ranked in the decreasing order of their overall CAT percentile.

Hence, the total number of shortlist will be based on the candidates’ overall performance in CAT 2015, the number of seats available, buffer for possible overlap and attendance trends in the past, etc.

Phase 2: Merit Listing for Admission Offer to PGP 2016-18 Batch

Scores of WSAT and PI will be used along with overall CAT performance for preparation of the final merit list for admission offer. WSAT and PI scores will be clubbed together. The scores of WSAT and PI and the Overall CAT Absolute Score will be normalized for preparation of the merit list.

The formula which will be used for preparing the final merit list is given below:

is doon business school good for 70.8 cat percentile

Sampriti Student Expert 17th Jan, 2020
Doon Business School is an average college for management education but since you've a decent CAT percentile so you can look out for some better options. You can check out the following colleges
  • BIMTECH Noida
  • XISS Ranchi
  • Prin LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research Bangalore
  • IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad
  • IMI Kolkata
  • NDIM New Delhi
  • JIMS Rohini
  • ICFAI Business School
  • Globsyn Business School Kolkata
These are pretty good colleges and you can easily get a good company with an average compensation package of 6 lakhs. They also offer good ROI. Though some of the colleges like BIMTECH and ICFAI Business School charge a little higher fees which is 12lakhs and 14.1 lakhs respectively but plethora of reputed companies visit the campus offering high salaries.
For Doon Business School, though the fees is less than 5 lakhs but the placements are not up to the mark and with your percentile you can go for a better college.

All the best

with cat percentile of 64, can I expect a call from xsrm? odisha domicile, general female, currently persuing bsc agriculture

Sampriti Student Expert 16th Jan, 2020
With your CAT scores you may not get a call from XSRM, XUB Bhubaneshwar as require a minimum of nearly 85-90 percentile which is same for XAT also. But if you're looking for rural management program you should also check out colleges like XISS Ranchi which is one of the oldest colleges for rural management program and KIIT University. They offer a decent placement and good academics.

Good Luck

Archita Aggarwal 16th Jan, 2020

Hello

It's very good that you have score 80 percentile in verbal section , however XAT Percentile is equally important. Performance is calculated on the overall scores there is no thing like more or less focus. Keep trying, you will get through this soon.

Hope this answer helps.
