IPM Aptitude Test Syllabus
The experts suggest section wise preparation strategy for the last week before the exam. Since the exam has 2 sections, candidates need to focus on these areas only.
The main topics of this section are Reading Comprehension, Synonyms, Antonyms, Jumbled Sentences, Para Completion, Word Usage, Phrase Replacement and Fill in the Blanks.
In this section, questions are covered from areas like Number System, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Average, Alligation, Mixture and Solution, Ratio and Proportion, Simple Interest-Compound Interest, Time speed and distance, Time and work, Progressions, Geometry and Mensuration, Inequalities, Logarithms and Graphs.
Last minute preparation strategy
According to Gautam Puri, though most of the questions are based on basic concepts of Arithmetic and Algebra, they are not straightforward and require some time to arrive at the answers. “Students should keep in the mind the slight increase in difficulty level of this exam, vis-Ã -vis other exams, while preparing for the same,” says Puri.
Do not start any new topic now. Rather revise your strong areas in the syllabus. On the exam day, select and attempt questions carefully. Since there is negative marking involved, accuracy must be maintained to score according to the cut off marks.
