IIM Ahmedabad hosts Anand Mahindra in its 49th convocation
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM A) held its 49th AnnualConvocation on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the B-School campus. A total number of 524 graduating students of IIM Ahmedabad’s Post Graduate and Fellowprograms received diploma/title at this year’s convocation. Anand Mahindra, Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
A total of 10 students received the Title of Fellow of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad while 388 students received the PGP Diploma. Anand Mahindra extended his congratulations to the graduates and expressed hope that an IIM graduate will showcase the next big thing in the world. He stated, “Since 2007, Indians have founded 8% of all technology and engineering startups in the US, and 14% of all Silicon Valley companies. Obviously we have entrepreneurship in our DNA. It's time to bring the show back home.”
Anil M. Naik, Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Institute, delivered the welcome address. He shared renewed hope of the global economy showing signs of improvement. According to him, the latest indicators for the world economy suggests that after years of weakness, high-income economies appear to be finally turning the corner, contributing to a projected acceleration in global growth from 2.4 percent in 2013 to 3.2 percent this year. It is further expected to increase to 3.4 percent in 2015, and 3.5 per cent in 2016. “You are eager to step out and come to grips with the challenges of real-world business. I hope that this enthusiasm rides high right through your career. As a business leader, the task is not an easy one. You are entering a world of ‘predictable uncertainty’. There will be a recurring challenge of addressing ‘unknown unknowns!! Things are going to change, more rapidly than you can imagine, more radically than you may understand. And as the man at the helm, it will be your job to navigate the organization through all those cross-currents,” he mentioned.
Director of the Institute, Prof. Ashish Nanda, delivered the concluding address of the event.
According to him, the strengths of IIMA provide a powerful platform for ongoing success in the future. He lauded the institute’s commitment to high quality and engaged classroom learning. can I get admission in iim Ahmedabad after bsc agriculture in ananad agriculture University, Gujarat
Yes you can apply for CAT and get admission in IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Ahmedabad is the top Institute for MBA and it's cutoff is very high every year.
Since you are from bsc which is a non engineering background, extra points are given by the Institute for maintaining academic diversity. This is an advantage for you.

is IIM Ahmedabad offer integrated program of management
Hello there. Hope you are doing good. I would like to tell you that IIM Ahmedabad does not offer integrated program of management. Among all the IIMs, only IIM Indore offers integrated program in BBA + MBA. IPMAT is the entrance exam conducted by IIM Indore for getting admission into its integrated BBA+MBA program.

Sir Im an average student and i want to get admission in IIM Ahmedabad. But i dont have good enough marks in my 10th & 12th. I got 70% in 10th & 76% in 12th. So sir is it possible for me to get admission in IIMA even after getting good percentile for my CAT entrance test.
The admission into IIM Ahmedabad is itself a great victory and let me inform you that there is nothing like the involvement of previous exams, even the students of Engineering undergraduates go for MBA programs in various colleges. So coming to the point, I would like to suggest you that forgetting about your previous marks, which are not much bad, you must focus on the CAT examination because you can get Ahmedabad only if you are under 99 percentile student and yes it's quite difficult to achieve but if you try to work on the the portion of examination then obviously in one year or two you can crack CAT.
Also after cracking the CAT examination it's the interview part which makes sure that you will get admission in IIM Ahmedabad because the interview part is quite tough you need to be rebuilt your personality your speaking skills which are very much simpler important for any candidate who is appearing for the cat interview examination. Yes you can go for MBA (Master of Business Administration) after doing your graduation in veterinary.
Duration of MBA : 2 years.
There are many exams which are held at national level,state level and university level for admission to MBA degree.For pursuing MBA at IIM (Indian Institute of Management) ,Ahmedabad you have to give Common Admission Test (CAT) exam which is a national level exam ,so prepare well.

What should I fill in "year of passing" in 12th field in CAT form 2020 if I passed 12th in 2016 and appeared for Improvement in all subjects in 2017 ? Also I have improved my percentage so which marks should I enter? Please Help. Remember I passed all my subjects in 2016.
It is a tricky situation but the answer is simple. You passed the senior secondary exam in the year of 2016 so you should mention 2016 as the year of passing. You are saying that you secured more percentage in improvement, then you can mention the improved grades in the form. But at the time of interviews, you will have to carry both the marksheets . Only The one with the more percentage , shall be considered valid. Which is the improved one in your case.
And lastly, dont worry . This does not affect the admission criteria .As long as you have cracked the entrance exam and proved your caliber for the respective exam, you are pretty much good to go.
