The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has commenced admissions for the second batch of the e-Post Graduate Programme in Management (ePGP) Course. Applications for the two-year post graduate diploma have already started and can be submitted online, latest by June 24, 2018.

The online education programme, which was launched last year, had tied up with Hughes Global Education as technology partner. Delivered on Hughes Interactive Onsite Learning (IOL) platform, ePGP aims to impart management education to junior, mid and senior level professionals and entrepreneurs seeking skills and strategies to up the level of their organisations. It has a hybrid learning structure — online as well as classroom learning.

Additionally, the ePGP course has a flexibility of completion in three years. As part of eligibility criteria to enroll in the programme, working professionals and entrepreneurs having a minimum full-time work experience of three years are eligible to apply. They also need to hold at least a Bachelor's Degree/CA/ICWA from a recognized university with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
As part of the selection criteria for ePGP, candidates will have to appear for a written test and interview. For the upcoming batch of the programme, IIMA will also be considering valid CAT/GMAT scores. The campus module or classroom session of the ePGP 2018-20 batch is scheduled to begin on September 24, 2018.
Success of the first batch of ePGP 2017
Speaking on the success of the first batch of ePGP which was launched in 2017, Prof. Biju Varkkey, Chairperson, ePGP, IIMA said, “Our inclusive approach to admissions enables us to attract well experienced and motivated group of participants to IIMA ePGP. From the initial response we have received, the quality of the applicant pool will increase this year.”
Mr. Partho Banerjee, President of Hughes Communications India Ltd. (HCIL), the parent company of HGEIL, stated, “Rather than pursuing MBA or Diploma from private or other institutes, working professionals are looking at a formal diploma from one of the most reputed institutes in India -IIMA. We are sure that in times to come, ePGP will turn out to be the most sought-after diploma programme for them.”
In the first batch of ePGP, offered across 13 cities in India, 79 percent of the first batch holds BE or B.Tech Degree and the majority belong to IT Services, Oil and Gas, Healthcare and Financial services sectors. As many as 24.5% candidates had 11-15 years of work experience.

iim ahmedabad short lists candidate according to academic marks and cat percentile. suppose you get 99 percentile in cat , but your academic is not that good there may be no chances for you to get selected. if you have more than of 90 percentage marks in 10th, 12th and graduation and along with excellent cat score you have fair chances to get calls.

After shortlisting the Candidates, the selected Candidates will have to go through WAT and PI rounds. Selection at this stage will strictly be based on the shortlisting of the candidates done separately for each Category ) on the basis of their Final Composite Score. . After the AWT & PI round, admission offers are made by IIMA to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in AWT & PI, academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience, etc.
