GLBIMR welcomes new PGDM 2017-19 batch

G-L-Bajaj-InstituteGL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research (GLBIMR), Greater Noida, organised an extensive five day long Induction Program from July 10 to 14 to welcome the newly admitted PGDM batch of 2017-19. The program, organised on the theme ‘Corporate Expectations and Insights for Aspiring Managers’, was inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR and other dignitaries.

 

Welcoming the new batch, Dr. Makkar emphasised that at GLBIMR, the impetus is not only on providing degrees but imparting value-based management education for holistic development of students. Mr. Agarwal shared that the main objective of this programme was to provide a sense of direction to the young minds and enlighten them on how to focus their energies during the PGDM course so as to attain maximum benefits.

 

More than 400 people including distinguished guests, students, parents, media representatives, faculty and staff members of the institute were present at the event. The program included a variety of activities such as Cognitive Skill Enhancement Sessions, Management Games and Team-Building Activities and Workshops. Students also shared their experiences of the event in the Speak Up session. 

 

Eminent guest speakers from the corporate and academic arenas shared their knowledge from their respective domain industries with students. Among the speakers were Mr. Rajiv Kapoor, Executive Director of Group HRM at UNO MINDA, Mr. Gopikrishan Bali, National Head of Content & Development at the Times of India, Mr. Mathieu Jouve-Villard, Managing Partner at Wedge Consulting, Ms. Simin Askari, ‎Vice President of Corporate Human Resources at Dharampal Satyapal Group, Dr. Yasho V Verma, Mentor, Winning Solutions, Mr. Sujoy Ghosh, Principal - Optronics & Avionics, TATA Power SED, Mr. J.S. Kaushal, Director of Personnel at Central Warehousing Corporation, Ms. Piya Bajwa, ‎Director of Sales & Client Management at ‎Quaker Chemical Corporation, Dr. Maninder Singh Khalsa, Head of Training & Development at VLCC, Ms. Deeksha Gupta, Talent Partner, Adobe Systems Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Rajiv Sahdev, Senior Executive Vice President and Group Head, HR at JBM Group, Mr. Pramod Joshi, Co-Founder and Director, The Winning Mantra, Mr. Sridhar Balan, Advisor at Ratna Sagar Publications, Mr. Rohit Gandotra, Business Manager - America Operations at Cygnet Infotech LLC, Mr. Amit Bansal, Deputy General Manager, HR at ‎Future Group India and Mr. Pawan Sharma, Vice President, HR at Kwality Limited among others. Dr. Makkar said that the guest speakers were invited with a view to cover different segments of industry that would act as road map for the coming two years for the GLBIMR students.
