CMAT Merit List 2019 – NTA (National Testing Agency) has released the CMAT 2019 merit list on February 6, 2019. The CMAT merit list 2019 includes candidates' Roll number, Rank, NTA Score (Percentile) and the Marks obtained by them. The CMAT 2019 score will be valid for the admissions of the academic year 2019-20. The merit list of CMAT 2019 is available in the form of PDF and the candidates can view their total marks obtained and the merit rank in the same. CMAT 2019 result was declared on February 6, 2019. Both the shifts of CMAT concluded successfully on January 28, 2019. As per the official notification of NTA, Sharma Navanshu Surendra obtained 100.00 percentile (NTA Score) and bagged the first rank. How is CMAT 2019 Merit List Prepared?
Usually, the scores will be calculated on the basis of marking scheme mentioned in the CMAT exam pattern 2019, which is +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer. A national merit ranking system will be arrived based on the total score obtained by a test taker.
In case more than one candidate obtains the same ranking as per the above criteria, the similar rank will be awarded to all of them but will be displayed by arranging their names alphabetically. The Rank of the subsequent candidate will then be extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank.
Percentile calculation formula: Percentile P = ( (N- Rank of the candidate)/ N) x 100 (Where P is percentile and N is the total number of candidates appeared for exam)
After the CMAT 2019 result, participating institutes of CMAT 2019 will announce shortlist of candidates based on their respective cutoff scores. The shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for the CMAT selection procedure of Group Discussion or Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. According to official regulations, is no common counselling for CMAT and institutes conduct their admission procedure individually. Candidates have to apply for B-schools separately in order to be shortlisted by the respective institutes.
