In a first, IIM Calcutta, conducting body of CAT this year, has introduced the option to re-upload photograph in case the original photograph was improper or blurred. However, there is no option to correct any other detail entered in the application form of CAT. “Candidates with improper/blur photographs can login and re-upload their photograph from Sep 27, 2018 (10:00 AM) to Sep 30, 2018 (5:00 PM). This is valid only for those candidates who have paid applicable Registration Fee and have registered successfully for CAT 2018 before the specified deadline,” states the official website.

Unlike last two years, candidates do not get the opportunity to edit any other field in the CAT 2018 application form. Commenting on the same, Prof. Basu says, “The correction is restricted only to change the photograph. As the application workflow allows candidates to submit the application in multiple attempts, there was no separate Edit Window option provided for the candidates after submission. In case a candidate wants to modify any information after submitting, (s)he has to apply as a new candidate.”

IIM Bangalore had introduced the option of application correction for CAT 2016. IM Lucknow, the conducting body for CAT 2017 continued the trend. Candidates could edit four fields, such as education information, work experience, programme selected and interview cities. For CAT 2018, the application correction is limited to re-uploading of photograph for candidates who have paid the application fee.
CAT 2018 application deadline extended till September 26
Answering the anticipations of CAT aspirants yet to apply for the exam, the application deadline for CAT 2018 has been extended by a week, till September 26, 2018 by IIM Calcutta. The original deadline for applying to CAT 2018 was September 19. Stating the reason for extending the application deadline, Prof. Sumanta Basu, CAT 2018 Convenor said, “This extension is provided considering the inconvenience that the candidates had to go through for collection of official documents after natural disaster hit different parts of India. Also this will give a breather to the candidates who were struggling to complete the application process within the deadline.”
The last date of CAT application is extended every year. This year too was not an exception. Candidates who have already registered, can pay the application fee on or before September 26, 2018, till 5 PM. Apart from that, no other important date of CAT 2018 has changed. Earlier, the Convenor had suggested that there is no need to rush to complete the payment process. They should verify each and every data while entering them before final submission as there would be no option to edit or correct information entered in the CAT 2018 application form.
CAT 2018 is scheduled to be held on November 25, 2018, in forenoon and afternoon slots in 147 cities across India.
Increase in applicants indicates higher chance of getting more suitable candidates, says Prof. Sumanta Basu, CAT 2018 Convenor

You have to score a minimum of 99 percentile to get at least one good IIM call as your academics are not good. You could get a call from new IIMs if you score 99 percentile as the top tier IIMs will not give you a chance due to your poor acads.
Colleges you could look for are like IIM Nagpur, Kashipur, Shillong, etc. These colleges if you study well will provide you with a good package of 10-12 lpa.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
You will not be able to get any good business school like top IIMs, MDI, IIFT, or FMS. However, you can still get a good MBA tier 3/4 college if you increase your percentile to 98 percentile.
However, according to your grads, you must not be disappointed if you don't get a call at 99 because your marks are not good.
Hope for the best. Thank you.
Eligibility for CAT is graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with 50% aggregate, for SC/ST/PwD it's 45%.

Now, coming to the syllabus for CAT, there's no specific syllabus for CAT, one needs to rely on past years sample papers to get a fair idea about the pattern and weightage given to each topic and section. In general, questions are mostly from middle school level English and Mathematics.
There are mainly three sections in CAT-
Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation which includes topics such as Tables, Graphs, Data Caselets, Seating Arrangement, Blood Relation, Syllogism etc.
Quantitative Aptitude which includes topics such as Geometry, Algebra, Time and Work, Mensuration, Number System etc.
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension which includes topics such as Sentence completion, Questions based on reading comprehension, Para-jumbles & para-summar, inferences etc.
To know the detailed topics, kindly go through the following link-
Honestly there is a difference between just finishing the syllabus and preparing for selection in cat. See you can finish the syllabus if you'll work really hard in one month but trust me only unless you are extraordinary you won't be able to get selected for iims or other good colleges. But don't loose hope you should fight till last.
