CAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria- Candidates, who want to apply for CAT exam to get MBA Admission, can check the eligibility criteria of CAT 2014 on this page below. CAT 2014 eligibility criteria states that the candidates should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized institute with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Final year graduation students can also apply as per the CAT 2014 Eligiblity Criteria.
New : Candidates who wish to appear for CAT 2016 which will be conducted on November 29, 2016 (tentatively) can fill CAT 2016 Application form from first week of August.
CAT 2014 has been officially announced on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Although there has been several changes in the exam, the CAT 2014 eligibility criteria has remained the same as past years.

CAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must hold a graduate degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, awarded by a recognized university or institute. However, the CAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria for the candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA) vary. Candidates belonging under these categories have to obtain minimum 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in graduation final.

Aspirants appearing for their final year graduation are also eligible to apply for CAT 2014, but their admission will be provisional until mark sheets and degree are submitted before the deadline of the IIMs and other participating institutes. Candidates should note that the mere fulfillment of the minimum Eligibility Criteria of CAT 2014 will not ensure their short listing by IIMs or participating B-schools.
List of equivalent qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/Post B.Sc./PostDiploma ) or B.E/B. Tech equivalent examinations, of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil EngineersIndia).
- Any Qualification recognized by Association of Indian Universities New Delhi which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree awarded by UGC recognized University/Institutions.
- Cases not covered above equivalency certificate to be produced from Association of Indian Universities New Delhi
CAT 2014 application procedure will be held over a window of 56 days from Wednesday, August 6, 2014 to Tuesday, September 30, 2014. CAT 2014 exam will be held on 2 days in 4 slots on Sunday, November 16, 2014 and Saturday, November 22, 2014.
The total number of seats in IIMs is 3,335.
CAT 2014, as per the government norms reserves 15% of the seats for Scheduled castes (SC), 7% for Schedule Tribes (ST), and 27% of seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC- non creamy layer). Also 3% seats are reserved for Differently Abled and PWD candidates.
The CAT 2014 selection process is same for all the applicants. On the basis of the CAT cut off, candidates are shortlisted for the second stage of selection process, which includes Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI). The CAT 2014 admission criteria of each IIM are independent of each other and a candidate is short listed on the basis of work experience, academic performance, diversity factor and other factors apart from CAT scores.
The computer based CAT 2014 will now be conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IIM Indore, the same institute which conducted the CAT 2013. Till last year, Prometric India Pvt. Ltd. was the body which conducted the computer based CAT. After the 5 year contract ended with the IIMs in 2013, TCS would has been selected to conduct the test by IIMs from 2014 onwards. The test will be held across 99 cities in India over 354 test centers. The CAT 2014 admit cards can be downloaded from Thursday, October 16, 2014 onwards.
CAT is a national level entrance examination conducted by IIMs as a pre requisite for admission to various management programmes of 13 IIMs and over 150 B-Schools across India. Before applying for CAT this year, the aspirant must ensure that they fulfill CAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria.

Firstly i would like to appreciate you for your efforts for scoring so much high in one of the most difficult exams of the country .
I can understand that this year despite of scoring such a high score you get such a rank but this shows that how much the competetion is rising and also the cutoff is going to rise so much high .
Yes you can apply like this because both of the counsellings are conducted separately but you will get more benefit via the state quota.
Chances for Delhi are unfortunately very less but in UP due to inc in seats due to AIIMS and JIPMER you are going to a very nice institution.

If you have secured the minimum cutoff of BHU’s FMS will be called for the admission process of the colleges which includes the GD/PI rounds.
The final selection of the candidates is made upon the performance of the candidates in CAT 2020 and the admission rounds. Here the academic record of the candidates is also considered.
Hence there is a chance of getting into FMS BHU .
