BIMTECH to conduct National Sustainability Case Challenge 2017, register till January 3

National Sustainability Case ChallengeBirla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) Greater Noida is conducting National Sustainability Case Challenge 2017. It is an undergraduate level problem solving contest to inculcate responsible behaviour, critical thinking and creative mindsets among millenials. The registration process commenced from December 2017 and the last date to apply is January 3, 2018. The final presentation will be held on February 10, 2018.


Eligibility Criteria


The eligibility criteria for the participants of BIMTECH NSCC 2017 are as follows:

  • Candidates should be pursuing Under Graduate programme in any stream from a UGC recognised institute

  • Participants must possess valid ID proof of the affiliating college or institute

NSCC 2017 Structure


The contest is divided into two phases, each consisting of three steps.


Phase 1

  • Team registration – Each team consisting of not more than two members have to register by clicking here.

  • Receive caselet – Teams will be sent caselets on the registered email address

  • Submit analysis – Registered teams will have to submit analysis on Powerpoint slides

Phase 2

  • Shortlist - BIMTECH will announce shortlisted teams

  • Final case study - Shortlisted teams will be sent final round case

  • Present final analysis – Shortlisted teams have to present the final analysis at BIMTECH Greater Noida

Powerpoint Submission Guidelines


According to BIMTECH, number of slides should not be more than six. Guidelines for preparing the presentation are as follows:


Slide 1

  • NSCC Analysis Report 2017

  • Presentation Title

  • Team member names, institute name and address

  • Date of submission

Slide 2 – Identification of issue

Slide 3 – Background research

Slide 4 & 5 – Critical analysis and solution

Slide 6 – Team recommendation


The final presentation duration is 15 minutes.


Judging Criteria


The shortlist of candidates will be done on the basis of following parameters:

  • Issue identified

  • Background research

  • Critical analysis

  • Problem solving

  • Slides 

The jury for this phase will include BIMTECH faculty members and partners


For the final selection, the parameters include:

  • Analytical skills

  • Solution oriented skills

  • Creative thinking

  • Presentation skills 

For this round, jury members will include members from external academia, media, Government, NGO, public policy, industry etc.
